Group Class Weather Updates & Announcements

Dear Students,

We understand that the recent air quality conditions may raise concerns about participating in outdoor tennis programs. Your health and comfort are important to us.

• If you prefer not to attend a scheduled class due to health concerns related to air quality, we will honour refunds for those class dates specifically. Please contact us at admin@precisiontennis.ca to arrange this.
• At this time, Environment Canada’s guidance is: “No need to modify your usual outdoor activities unless you experience symptoms such as coughing and throat irritation.”

Dear Students,

We are closely monitoring Environment Canada’s Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) and its potential impact on scheduled tennis programs this week.

• The earliest scheduled group classes that may be affected are on Friday, September 5 at Kitsilano Beach. If you have significant concerns ahead of time, please contact us at admin@precisiontennis.ca.
• For those taking private lessons, you will be notified directly by your coach or our administration team if any changes are required.

Please check back on this page regularly as we provide updates and make any necessary scheduling decisions.

Based on the current forecast, we will be going ahead with all group classes at Kits Beach tennis courts and Granville Park tennis courts.

Our first priority is everyone’s safety. If at any time the conditions are deemed unsafe for play, class will be cancelled and refunded at the end of the session.

We would like to confirm that all classes are going ahead on August 11th and August 12th at Trimble Park tennis courts, and Langara Public tennis courts.

Due to the hot weather, we are taking the following steps to ensure student and coach on – court safety:

1. Regular shade breaks every 10-15 minutes
2. Modified lesson plans to minimize physical exertion
3. Providing extra water & cold towels on site as needed
